Can You Continue After Final Battle Xbc2

This section contains the walkthrough for Chapter 4 of Xenoblade 2: Aegis.

Chapter 4 begins with a lengthy cutscene, after which you'll be asked to return to Garfont and receive the main story quest, Vandham's Last Wish. Set the quest as active, then Skip Travel back to Garfont and talk to Yew. Yew can be found in the Plaza of Reprieve, left of the Town Gate.

Yew will ask you to take over the Garfont Mercenaries. Accept the request to open the Merc Menu in your Menu screen. Open the Merc Group menu, select Uraya, then select the only mission currently available, First Mission.

On the next screen select blades to send out on the mission, then push X to begin. Select a blade to lead the squad if you sent more than one. If any of the blades you selected were engaged by a driver, they'll be automatically disengaged. After a minute, your blades will return. Check the Merc Group menu to find out if they succeeded and collect any rewards. Once you've completed the mission, talk to Yew again to complete the quest.

After the quest is complete, you'll need to Skip Travel back to the Holy Gate of Fontana, in Fonsa Myma. Once you arrive, turn left and go downstairs. Walk up to the railing to find the Titan ship you need in the distance. Rather than go around, just jump over the ledge. You'll land near a ladder. Take the ladder down to arrive at Fonsa Myma Port. Turn left and follow your compass to find a Nopon waiting for you by a rickety ship. Speak to Chamomo and board the ship. After you take the trip a short cutscene will play and Rex will be left alone.

The next step is to charter a flight to Mor Ardain. Go into the bazaar, then turn right to find your way to the stairs. Take the stairs up, then take the next flight to the left of Chairman Bana's office. Turn right at the top of the stairs and run across Bowers Lounge, then take the next flight on your right up to the third floor. You'll see another staircase on your immediate left. Take the stairs up to reach the Goldmouth Residential District.

Turn left to find a catwalk leading across to an open area. Cross the catwalk to reach Goldmouth Flight Deck. Go straight forward and you'll find a Nopon named Murmur on your left. Talk to Murmur, who will offer to let Rex and your party travel for 3,000G. Pay the fare, then Skip travel to Lemour Inn to meet with your crew. A cutscene will play. After the scene ends, it's time to board your flight. Make your way back to the flight deck. As you approach Murmur another cutscene will play. A thief has run off with Roc's core crystal, and you need to find it before you can leave for Mor Ardain.

The thief took off to Goldmouth Exit Port. Either run through the bazaar to the port or skip travel there to trigger a cutscene. The thief will steal a boat and go to Torigoth. Rex and party will follow during the cutscene, leaving you in Grodd Residential Zone and starting the main story quest, Stop ,Thief!

Stop, Thief!

Your first objective is to find out what you can about the thief that stole Roc's core crystal from the people of Torigoth. Talk to Wold. Wold will tell you the thief ran up the stairs behind him, but doesn't know more than that.

Go up the stairs and you'll find a Nopon named Hanahana on your right. Talk to Hanahana to find out the boy continued up the stairs behind you. Turn around and go upstairs to find Myron on your left.

Talk to Myron to find out he saw the thief headed toward the farm. Take your first right past Myron, then left around the corner to fine Millie at the farm.

advertisement

Millie will tell you she didn't see anybody. Continue further into the farm past her along the path to find Nugby on your left. Talk to Nugby to find out another person named Otto has some information to help you in your quest.

You'll need to make your way to Nocclia Timber, which is near the Traveler's Resting Tree. Skip Travel to the tree, then turn right to find a tree root you can take up. Follow the tree root up to find the Nocclia Timber Site and talk to Otto. Otto will tell you he can't help you, but recommends tracking the thief's footprints.

Turn around to find the thief's footprints. When you try to track them, you won't have a blade capable of doing so. Go back and talk to Otto, who will teach you how to track. Once you've been taught, your waypoint will update to Umon's Shipyard. Skip Travel to the shipyard to trigger a cutscene and complete the quest.

Go inside the Shipyard to trigger another cutscene between Rex and the thief. The thief will summon four monsters. Kill them to trigger another cutscene and get Roc's core crystal back. The thief will introduce himself as Rhys. Rhys tells you bandits are about to attack Torigoth.

Skip Travel back to the Waytree, then head North to reach Twin Trunks Hill. To your right you'll see a root extending up out of the ground. Follow the root up, then run straight ahead, past Acute Melvyn to reach Boulderbore Gate. Turn left to find an ether miasma blocking your path.

Approach the miasma to trigger a cutscene. Rex has to resonate with Roc's core crystal to proceed. A brief cutscene will play and Roc will join the party as one of Rex's blades. Use Roc's field skilil to clear the miasma and move on.

Take the winding path through the field until you find a cave on your left. Go inside the Brigands' Hideout to trigger a cutscene. You'll have to fight three drivers, none of which are particularly threatening. Target the strongest and have your party focus their attacks on him, then do the same for the remaining two to finish the fight easily.

After you finish the fight, a cutscene will play and Rex and party will be returned to Goldmouth. Skip Travel to the Flight Deck and talk to Murmur to set sail for Mor Ardain. You'll arrive at Anangham Dock, outside the Capital. Walk straight ahead, then turn right and continue on to the Cargo Transportation Zone. Take the stairs to your left, turn right, then go inside an elevator and use it to proceed up. Exit the elevator, then turn left to trigger a cutscene.

After the cutscene, you'll be directed to go rest at the inn. Go forward into Anvill Shopping District, Take your first right, then turn left into the alley just past Belchet Recycling to reach Beraf Industry Ward. Take a left, followed by your first right to find the inn. Talk to Yulie to start a cutscene.

advertisement

After the cutscene, Pyra will transform back into Mythra. After the scene is over, proceed forward and take the stairs on your left up to the rooftops. Turn left and fight off the soldiers in your way. Turn right to find a staircase. Approach it to start a cutscene. Next you'll give chase to what appears to be a mechanical blade named Lila. Run straight ahead, then take the stairs to your left. Run around the steam vents, then turn the valve at the end of the area on your right to shut off the flow of steam. Before you leave, grab the chest nearby, then turn around and go back the way you came.

Once you've made it back to the catwalk you were previously on, take the set of stairs across from those you just used. Run straight ahead, then round the corner to catch up to the artificial blade, causing it to take off. Turn the corner to your left and take the stairs up. Kill the Ardainian Keeper in between the two short flights of steps and keep going. Turn right after the steps and take out the Rez Driver waiting for you.

Go down the steps and turn left. Fight off the enemies in your way, then take the stairs in the back of the area and follow around the corner to find Lila once again. Lila will flee again, Jump over the railing in front of you then run straight ahead and go down the steps to trigger another cutscene. Lila will challenge your party.

Lila fights alone, meaning she isn't much of a challenge for a full party. Have Tora keep her attention, while you use Mythra's abilities as Rex to deal out big damage. LIla may not pack much of a punch, but she can take a lot of punishment. Use level 3 blade combos to add elemental orbs to Lila, then finish her off with a Chain Attack when the opportunity arises.

Once you defeat Lila, she'll run away again. Chase her into the commercial district, where soldiers are on the lookout. Run straight through the commercial district and toward the building in the distance to trigger another cutscene.

advertisement

After the cutscene ends, Brighid and Morag will challenge your party, along with several soldiers. Take the soldiers out as quickly as possible, as they can do take your party out quickly. Target one of them and have your party focus their attacks on it. Repeat until there are no soldiers left, then shift your attention to Morag.

As always, make sure to use your Anchor Shot to get potions to drop for you. Collect the potions and use level 3 specials as often as possible, then Chain Attack Morag to end the battle. After the battle, another cutscene will play. After the scene, you'll receive the main story quest, Lila's Location.

Lila's Location

Your first objective is to find someone who may have imported Bion Connectors from Gormott. Skip Travel to Anangham #2 Dock, then talk to Periperi. Periperi will tell you to check near the elevators you took into town earlier. On your way to the elevators, run toward the metal beams to the right of the final flight of steps to trigger a cutscene.

Next, take the elevator back into the city. Once you're in the city, turn right and go talk to Isset at Belchett Recycling. Isset will demand you buy something from him before he'll talk. Pick anything he has to offer, then try talking to him again. Isset will offer some information, then demand you make another purchase. Buy something again to learn you're looking for someone named Timell. Turn left and run straight forward to reach Midorl Bridge, then look for Timell off to the right..

Timell will tell you that he just dropped off a shipment of Black Ash to his buyer. Your compass will now be updated with a waypoint showing the location of the black ash barrels. Turn left and follow the road until it dead ends, but be careful as you'll encounter several very powerful monsters on the way. Once you reach the dead end, turn right to find the barrels. When you do, you'll need to have Nopon Wisdom level 2, or two blades with level one to decipher a not. If you don't have these, you can have your merc group deal with it, but it'll take 30 minutes.

advertisement

Whichever choice you make, once you've got the intel, it's time to report back to Morag. Skip Travel back to Alba Cavanich, then proceed through the commercial district and you'll see the palace on your left. Continue into Hardhaigh Palace until you reach Hardhaigh gate, then turn left and talk to Cancuth to trigger a cutscene.

After the cutscene, Skip Travel to the Old Industrial District, in the Upper Level of Mor Ardain. Go down the stairs directly in front of you to reach the Geothermal Processor.

Take the stairs all the way to the bottom floor to find a room with four enemies in it. There's a door on both the left and right sides, and a staircase in the back of the room.

Fight Judicial Kollin

If you take the route to the left, you can enter a battle with a unique monster, Judicial Kollin. Follow the hallway to its end, then turn left to find a door. Open the door where Judicial Kollin is waiting. Defeat him and you can grab the Control Room Key, which you will use later on.

Whether you take on Kollin or not, take the stairs at the back of the room, to end up on a catwalk in the Storage Warehouse. Take a left and cross the catwalk to the other side of the room, then turn right and take the stairs down to reach the ground floor. You'll find a couple of Nel Arachnid guarding the exit. Lure them out one-by-one and take them down, then go through the exit and down the stairs to the left.

Once you finish descending the multiple staircases, you'll reach Chansagh Wastes. Turn right and cross the pipes running through the ground at their lowest points and continue on until you reach the Old Factory.

advertisement

Once you reach the factory, you'll discover the front door is locked. Open the red barrel to your right to discover a ladder key, then turn left and go around the corner to find a switch you can flip to lower a ladder. Climb the ladder, then jump through the open window to gain entry to the Old Factory Warehouse. Once you get in, run to the back of the room and have your blades destroy the fan to create a new passageway. Go through to trigger a cutscene.

Once the cutscene is over, proceed forward, then turn left. You'll find another fan. Have your titans destroy it. Proceed through it to the Main Ventilation Ducts to trigger a cutscene. Muimui will have you attacked by four Jailer Tirkin. Defeat the four monsters to trigger a cutscene. Chairman Bana will appear. After a short cutscene, Tora and Poppi will leave your party, leaving Rex and Nia to find and defeat Bana.

Turn right and go through the doorway, then turn right and go up the ramp into the Ether Refinery Corridor. Turn right, then go through the door and the hallway and through the door on the other side to reach the Ether Control Tower. Defeat the three enemies inside to receive an Ether Tank Key.

Use the Ether Tank Control Panel on the left-hand side of the room to raise some ether thanks, then go through the door on your right and up the stairs in front of you, then turn left. Run across the tops of the ether tanks, then take the stairs down on your left and turn right to go through the door. Go down the stairs, then continue forward until you reach the Central Bulkhead.

The door ahead will be locked in front of you. Turn around to find the Work Observation Tower with guards on each side. Approach the front door, but rather than turning it, go left. Continue forward to reach the Waste Incineration Line. Once you reach it, cross over the conveyor belt and turn left to find a staircase. Follow the stairs up, then turn right to find a crosswalk. Use the crosswalk to go across the room, then turn right.

Fight your way back into the upper level of the Work Observation Tower. Clear out all the enemies to receive the Hangar Division Key, then use the terminal in the back of the room to open the locked door. Go back the way you came, down the winding stairs to the ground floor, then turn right and go through the large doorway to trigger a cutscene, after which you will fight Bana and his Mega Artificial Blade, Rosa.

The Battle With Rosa

Rosa isn't all that tough, but there's only two of you, so you'll need to stay on your toes. Rex will have Rosa's attention, leaving Nia as your main source of healing. Rosa is weak against lightning, so if you have any lightning blades in your loadout, make sure to equip them before going in.

Keep running circles around Rosa as you attack. This will make it easier to take her down quickly. Use Anchor Shot as soon as it becomes available and pick up the HP potions if Nis isn't doing that for you.

After you take down about a quarter of Rosa's life, Tora will return with a new blade, Poppi QT. Poppi will take over the role of tank and Rex and now focus on attacking Rosa from the sides and back. Use any lightning-based attacks you can and focus on building up combos at this point. Once you get up to three elemental orbs on Rosa, use a chain attack to finish her off quickly.

Once Rosa has been defeated, Bana will run off. Chase him down the hall directly in front of you into Bulge Harbor to trigger another cutscene. Two members of Torna, Patroka and Mikhail will appear to challenge Rex and Mythra.

Patroka and Mikhail

Patroka and Mikhail are one of the trickiest duos in the game. Mikhail fights using melee weapons and short-range attacks, but frequently shields himself, making him invincible, while Patroka uses a cannon and fights from long range.

In the beginning, take the fight to Mikhail. He's the stronger of the two, but is the lesser threat. If Mikhail is close to Patroka, keep your distance. Patroka has an area-of-effect attack that will ignite the area around her in flames and will deal enough damage to wipe out your party if you stand in the flames a second too long.

After landing a few blows of Mikhail, a short cutscene will play and Morag will join your party. Morag is a tank with a flame blade, so if you fancy her over Tora, swap her into your party and return to battle.

Keep the focus on Mikhail with Rex circling his back and using Anchor Shot to drop potions as frequently as possible. When Mikhail shields himself, switch your focus to Patroka. As we mentioned before, Patroka will use a flame attack that can kill you very quickly. Stay as far away as you can with your auto attacks and only move close to her when necessary. Keep switching between the two as Mikhail makes himself invincible. Once Mikhail is down, do everything you can to fight Patroka from a distance. If you have a cannon of your own, use that to your advantage.

Once Mikhail and Patroka are defeated, a cutscene will play signifying the end of this chapter. Congratulations! You found and rescued Tora's father, now it's time to continue the search for a way to Elysium. Read more in the next section!
